ENGLEWOOD, New Jersey [September 9, 2024] – The Englewood Public School District is thrilled to announce that Dr. Laura Mathieu, Assistant Principal at Janis Dismus Middle School, has been named the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association (NJPSA) Visionary Leadership Assistant Principal of the Year. Dr. Mathieu will be honored at the upcoming NJPSA conference in October.

 

This esteemed award recognizes Dr. Mathieu's exemplary leadership, innovative practices, and unwavering dedication to creating a positive and dynamic educational environment. Known for her commitment to student achievement and her ability to inspire staff and students alike, Dr. Mathieu has significantly influenced the academic and cultural landscape at Janis Dismus Middle School.

In addition to the recognition, Dr. Mathieu previously received a $10,000 award dedicated to enhancing educational initiatives at Janis Dismus Middle School, further supporting the district’s mission to provide innovative learning opportunities for all students.
